Helen R. Spencer

President and Owner of Forward Edge Associates

Helen is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and is married with three grown children. Helen founded Forward Edge Associates in 1991, and currently owns 100% of the company. Helen is a certified Breath Alcohol Technician, Breath Alcohol Technician Trainer, and an Intoximeters factory authorized Calibration Technician Trainer. She has completed both the DATIA C/TPA Management Training course and the DATIA Collector Trainer Course. Helen oversees the day to day operations at all three of the Forward Edge Associates locations, and the entire company. She has been certified to perform urine specimen collections for urinalysis drug testing using the e-screen system, and to perform urinalysis drug testing using Profile II instant test kits by Medtox. Helen is also certified by Psychemedics to perform hair collections for hair drug testing. Helen has over a decade of experience in performing drug screen collections and has trained and certified over 100 people.

Due to her knowledge of drug and alcohol testing, Helen is asked by many schools, company executives, and attorney’s to provide expert advice on the subject of substance abuse and forensic testing programs.

J. Tracy Spencer

Corporate Officer/ Administrative Vice President

Tracy is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, and has many years of experience in both large and small companies. He is responsible for long range strategic and business planning for the company. Tracy handles administrative, accounting, risk management and other corporate issues for the company, such as insurance policies, vendor contracts, office lease agreements, budgeting and cashflow forecasting, computer programming, employee contracts etc.

Meghan Nichols

Manager - Lexington

Meghan is a native of West Virginia and is an experienced manager. Before joining the Forward Edge staff, Meghan attended college. Currently Meghan handles the day- to- day management of the Lexington Customer Service function and has primary responsibility for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for all Forward Edge locations. Meghan is a certified Breath Alcohol Technician and has been trained using DATIA standards to perform collections for urinalysis drug testing in the transportation industry.

Meghan has obtained certifications from E-screen to perform E-screen urinalysis drug testing using the e-screen system, and from Medtox to perform Profile II urinalysis drug testing. She is also certified to perform hair testing collections for Psychemedics.

Meghan is married with one child. She is the person the organization depends on to solve client and day-to-day operational issues and keep everything running smoothly in the corporate office.

Leesa O'Banion

Manager - Frankfort Office

Leesa previously worked in an Urgent Treatment and Family Care medical facility before joining Forward Edge Associates. She is a Kentucky certified Emergency Medical Technician and a Kentucky certified Paramedic. Leesa also has certifications by the American Heart Association in CPR and ACLS. She is a CPR and First Aid instructor. Leesa is a certified Breath Alcohol Technician and has been trained to perform collections for urinalysis drug testing for the transportation industry. She also has been certified to perform collections for urinalysis drug testing using the Medtox Profile II instant test and the e-screen system. Leesa is also certified to perform hair collections for hair drug testing.

Leesa started the Frankfort location from ground zero and has rapidly increased the client service base at that location. She also assists the Lexington corporate office with special projects.

Victoria Ricketts

Remote Clinic Coordinator/ Administrative Quality Control -Lexington

Victoria is an experienced manager and has been employed at Forward Edge Associates since 1994. She coordinates remote clinic testing for all Forward Edge clients at clinic locations all over the country. Victoria is responsible for quality control in the Lexington office, ensuring that samples are shipped to the correct laboratory on the day collected and that paperwork is mailed as requested. Victoria is a certified Breath Alcohol Technician. She has successfully completed training to do collections for urinalysis drug testing for the transportation industry. Victoria has obtained certifications to perform urinalysis drug testing using the e-screen system and to perform Profile II instant tests. She is also certified to perform hair collections for hair drug testing by Psychemedics.

Victoria is responsible for managing the Forward Edge Associates blind specimen program and double checking and filing all test results. She ensures that clinics around the country have adequate supplies to service Forward Edge Associate clients.
